Second Harvest Heartland joins forces to end Hunger

Offers USDA Commodity Supplemental Nutrition program,Mothers and Children (Mac) and the Nutrition Assistance Program for seniors (NAPS) which provides free monthly supplement USDA commodity food packages to income-eligible pregnant and postpartum women.Children up to their sixth birthday and seniors 60 years and older. Qualified participants receive these monthly food packages at a designed distribution site in their local area.

Brown Bag:

Brown Bag is a monthly food distribution for senior’s living on St. Paul’s East side. A bag of food containing 10-12 items is distributed twice a month at two locations, Application are available at these locations at the time needed to be served.

Locations:

  • 1st Tuesday of every month @ Harding High school 12:00-1:30
  • 1st Thursday of every month @ 715 Edgerton St. 1:00- 2:00

Lunch: Midway Area Berean Lutheran Church provides lunch 2nd and last Saturday of the month @ 11:30- 12:30 served at their table;located in basement-use front doors elevator or stairs;on a bus line. (next to the Sears 441 Rice street) 651-224-5389
