Graduated from U of Northern Iowa with a BA in Education. Taught 4th, 5th, 6th grade and music. Parented two children in Roseville. Worked for the City of Bloomington for 30 years in Human Services – mostly with people 50 yrs and older. Am a grandparent of 5 children who live and go to school on St. Paul’s East Side. Volunteered on District 5 Community Council. Serve on East Side Arts Council.

Leslie Malmquist is the owner of Superior Selections and Marketing. His career was primarily in the printing industry as owner of Universal Press with 50 employees in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Since 1978 he has been a volunteer with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival; in 1995 he served as King Boreas LIX.

I came to Saint Paul from Aberdeen, South Dakota when I was four years old. Over the years I have lived in the Midway, Merriam Park, Summit University, and for the last 35 years in Dayton’s Bluff. I have worked for non-profits, for- profits, been a foster parent and a family day care provider. Since moving to Dayton’s Bluff I have been very involved in the community.

Larry Laughlin

Larry Laughlin is an active member of the East Side community. His family-owned business, Donald’s Uniforms, has been a vital part of the community for over 65 years. More than 250 schools proudly wear uniforms sold at his two stores. Larry is also a former president of PABA – Payne Avenue Business Association – and a member of ESABA – East Side Area Business Association. Larry joined the East Side Elders Board of Directors in 2016.
