Confidentiality Policy
Volunteers and staff are privileged to receive confidential information about program participants and one another. It is the expectation of East Side Elders that personal information about program participants, volunteers or staff be shared only with persons who are volunteers or our staff and who have demonstrated the need to know such information. Volunteers can and should always share significant information with their supervisor and/or the case managing nurse. If a volunteer is uncertain about the appropriateness of sharing information with staff, please consult the Program Director. I acknowledge that a criminal background check is done on all East Side Elders volunteers.
