Andre Best is the founder and administrator of Best Home Care. Best Home Care provides in-home healthcare via personal care assistant (PCA) to people of all ages in Minnesota.
Best Home Care provides basic needs for clients such as dressing, feeding and moving about. Best’s goal is to help those who are the most vulnerable to the system—people who have special healthcare needs, are low-income, low-skilled, low-educated, and/ or unemployed. In addition to this passion for people, Best brought new ways of operating and delivering care to PCA qualified clients. He created the first completely electronic PCA timesheet, designed and implemented a paperless office and authored a PCA policy and procedure manual that is being used by several agencies across the state. Prior to creating Best Home Care, Andre had eight years of corporate experience at Ford Motor Company. He managed more than 60 employees and led their collective bargaining as union president.
Best holds a bachelor of arts from the University of St. Thomas and a Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law.
In addition, Best contributes to charitable organizations such as Second Harvest, People Serving People and The Arc of Greater Twin Cities. He provides legal consultation to other home health agencies and offered free legal advice on health care directives and living wills.
Andre is the father of four girls and is active in the African-American and Hmong communities.
