I came to Saint Paul from Aberdeen, South Dakota when I was four years old. Over the years I have lived in the Midway, Merriam Park, Summit University, and for the last 39 years in Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood. I have worked for non-profits, for- profits, been a foster parent and a family day care provider. Since moving to Dayton’s Bluff I have been very involved in the community. I worked for the Dayton’s Bluff Community Council as Community Organizer for 18 years before retiring. I am still very involved with the Dayton’s Bluff District Forum community newspaper, Friends of Swede Hollow, Lower Phalen Creek Project as well as East Side Elders. Seniors have always been near and dear to my heart. I am one of the founding members of Dayton’s Bluff Living at Home Block Nurse program which has expanded and is now East Side Elders.
